This week on the Cinemaholics podcast, we dive deep into The Substance, Coralie Fargeat’s follow-up to Revenge. We discuss the film’s blending of body horror and Hollywood satire as performed by Demi Moore and Margaret Qualley with Dennis Quaid. This is a more contentious episode than usual as we have somewhat diverse interpretations of the film based on our own personal reactions to its cultural commentary.

The Substance released theatrically last month through Mubi and has a 141-minute runtime.
